About the Kennel
Located on 72 beautiful
acres bordering the Jefferson National Forest in Fincastle, we’re a family
owned and operated organic farm and dog boarding kennel.

(This is the front of the
kennel.)
Scott and Lara (owners) live
on the farm and are there everyday to give your dogs the attention that they
miss while you’re away. Their on-site
residence ensures your pet is given daily, individual TLC in this idyllic
country location. This daily care includes holistic dog food to help keep
your dog healthy and happy.
Each dog run has a large
indoor area opening up to a huge, private, outdoor run. The outside run
includes a covered patio providing protection from the sun and rain.
Inside skylights supply natural light and ceiling fans provide a breeze. Also available is daily, supervised group
play in an extra large play area. This free-of-charge, optional
service is available on request for all kenneled dogs. All breeds and sizes are welcome. Lara is an RN so dogs with health concerns
or medications are not extra.
Drop off and pick up hours
are by appt. This enables us to
dedicate one on one playtime with your dog when they arrive. Also they will have had their water picked
up, been outside in the play area to do any business and be ready for the car
ride home when you arrive.
Here are two pictures of our
large play area for supervised playtime.

This is our smaller play
area. Scott is playing with Ginger.

Tours
We would love to show you
and your dog the kennel. Just call to
set up a time so we are not in the middle of playtime or giving a dog a bath
when you arrive. Please bring your dog
with you for the tour.
Our office looks like a
living room, not a clinic, so your dog will feel at home.

About the Owners and the Building
We (Scott and Lara) have
been working on building this dog kennel for over 10 years.
We had an Alaskan Malamute
named Sebastian. He grew to be much
bigger that his 75 pound father to over 120 pounds.
There was not a kennel large
enough to make him comfortable. So we started
talking to friends to find out that many big dog owners were having the same
challenge. We have spent that last ten
years looking for the perfect land and designing a kennel from our dog’s point
of view.
We put in all concrete
floors so it’s easy to keep clean and dogs love cool concrete.
Large 5 feet by 5 feet
indoor runs.
Extra large outdoor runs up
to 30 feet long, all 5 feet wide
The roof of the building
covers the first 5 feet of the each run to provide shade from the sun and
protection from rain.
Skylights in all office and
kennel provide natural light.
The kennel has a ventilation
fan to replaces the all the air in the kennel with fresh air every 3 minutes.
All interior paint is zero
VOC. That is the paint gives off zero
harmful chemicals into the air.
We used environmentally
friendly cleaners to keep the air healthy.

kennel.
